Kimbers’ LLC was started by Kimberly Taylor, who now presides as CEO of Kimber’s. Ms. Taylor became an ordained minister in 1999 and gravitated toward prison ministries. Through the years she would minister and counsel inmates throughout the country, and began to formulate a common outcome and request from the inmate populations.

The request was to help write a letter to a loved one. Not the traditional letter or a greeting card found in the commissaries, but something from the heart and specific to their particular situation. Kimberly realized that the majority of inmates only communicated to the outside world via letters, limited phone calls and visits.

Through writing these letters for inmates, Kimberly began to grasp the intimacies and importance of the letters desired by the inmates. The letters usually promoted a process of rebuilding and strengthening relationships with their loves ones. The letters also let to increased visits by family members.
